Viet Nam Rubber Group participates in the Program on Sustainable Companies organized by the Viet Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development

Recognizing the title of Sustainable Companies, which opens up opportunities to improve prestige and brand, increase the trust in relationship with partners and customers, and improve competitiveness in the period of international integration, the Viet Nam Rubber Group (VRG) has encouraged members to register to participate in the Program on Benchmarking and Annoucing Sustainable Companies (Program) since 2019.

The Program has been organized annually by Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Viet Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) since 2016, with the coordination of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The objective of the Program is to honor and reward businesses that meet the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) in terms of business results, corporate governance, responsibility on environment and labor and society.

Results of VRG participating in the Program on Sustainable Companies in 2019 - 2020
In 2019, there were 10 VRG members reaching the Top 100 and 3 members reaching the standards of sustainable development. In 2020, there were 2 elite members selected into the Top 10 among 14 members ranged in the Top 100 and 5 members reaching the standards of sustainable development.

VRG continues to participate in the 2021 Program on Sustainable Companies
The Launching Ceremony of the Program on Benchmarking and Announcement Sustainable Companies in Viet Nam in 2021, organized by VCCI and the Viet Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development on May 18, 2021.
In order to continue to maintain and strive for higher rankings, expand the number of members participating in the certification of sustainable companies, improve prestige and brand as well as promoting business towards sustainable development, in 2021, VRG will continues to participate in the Program and expect at least 15 members achieving the title of Top 100 Sustainable Companies in Viet Nam.
The set of CSI was developed by VCCI and the Viet Nam Business Council for Sustainable Development, including 119 indicators, to assess the development level of enterprises in 3 aspects (economy, environment and society). In 2021, the registration applications from businesses will be received by VCCI via hard copies or online declaration before August 15, 2021. The announcement ceremony is expected in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Ha Noi.
